How tough is the EDC TacticalTM?

To get things going, we started by dropping this production EDC Tactical repeatedly from a height of 6 meters (20 feet) on to concrete, pavement and rocks. We then moved on to throwing the light at concrete, pavement and rocks for over an hour. The light still functions normally using the original battery. The glass lens did not break even with this severe abuse. Can your flashlight survive this kind of punishment?.

R17670 extended runtime battery compartment

The R17670 battery compartment is an accessory for the EDC ExecutiveTM, the EDC TacticalTM, the EDC High CRITM flashlight and the EDC IRTM flashlights. The R17670 provides a 2.5 time increase in runtime with the economy of rechargeability. See the accessories page for details. You can also specify the R17670 battery compartment as an option when building your EDC CustomTM-built flashlight.

Kydex holsters now available

Two different Kydex holsters are now available for use with the EDC Executive and the EDC Tactical flashlights. The smaller holster is designed for dress belts while the larger holster is designed for wider duty belts. Both can be adjusted for just the right pull tension when drawing the light from the holster. See the accessories page for details.

Tactical ring now available

The accessory tactical ring is now available for use with your favorite pistol shooting stance. The tactical ring can be mounted on the switch cap for a secure cigar hold or to the head for a forward grip. See the accessories page for details.

High power NVG illuminator flashlights now available

The EDC IRTM flashlight adds a high power infrared LED to our capable EDC-series military flashlight for the most versatile IR illuminator available. With 4 preset brightness levels, you can choose a low level for close quarter work or a high level to light up distant objects over 110 yards (100 meters) away. The medium to higher levels are also useful for illuminating the shadows around bright lights often encountered in urban areas. Completely optimized for the current generation of night vision goggles.

High CRI flashlights

The EDC High CRITM flashlights will be available again shortly - they were more popular than expected and we are temporarilly out. The special high CRI (color rendering index) LEDs provide a fuller spectrum of light and thus the light can render colors more faithfully. Our LEDs provide an industry-leading CRI of 93.
